Karen recently retired from Erie Insurance after 26 years in marketing, promotions and customer service. Prior to Erie Insurance, she worked in communications and fundraising at United Way of Erie County. Throughout her career, she brought people together, developed community partnerships, recruited and coordinated volunteers, and helped organizations turn ideas into successful initiatives.
Now in retirement, she continues to volunteer with a new initiative supported by The Nonprofit Partnership - Volunteer Connect. Volunteer Connect makes it easier to find the right match between a nonprofit and a volunteer.
Whether you have an hour to give, a few hours each month, or want to become a regular volunteer, Volunteer Connect helps connect you with organizations looking for people with your skills, interests and passion.
As a longtime volunteer herself, Karen supports many worthy organizations including the Erie Cancer Wellness Center, United Way of Erie County, City Mission, American Cancer Society Relay for Life, Presque Isle Partnership, Erie Community Blood Bank, Erie Gives, the Erie Free Store, North Star Mentoring and the Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest PA.
Her passion is simple: helping people find meaningful ways to give back.
