Trent Mason
Senior Strategist, Gem City Creative
Trent Mason was a dynamic figure, often seen scaling walls and crushing ice. But ever since he turned 58, he’s mostly been found sitting at standing desks in places like Radius - which is still cool because even desk work demands superhero efforts!
Trent has been building brands and businesses for more than two decades. He has a quarter-century of executive leadership experience, having served as Director of Marketing, CMO, and CHRO for some really cool organizations. Being CHRO was his favorite because when people say it, it sounds like a delicious, sugar-coated dessert. Side note: Trent distrusts anyone who doesn’t like churros.
To round out his experience, he once took a job as the Head of Maintenance for Best Western Hotel in Logan, UT. He resigned from that job after some unpleasantness arising from mislabeled pool chemicals. The court cases have since been settled, and Trent is anxious to tell those stories again, especially if you are serving up a good espresso to keep him fueled.
Before joining Gem City Creative, Trent operated his own strategic business planning consultancy where he helped clients around the country. He also held a multi-year W2 job where he helped operate a homecare agency. That was a wonderful experience for him to serve the disability community. That job left him with huge respect for everyone working in non-profits and Health and Human Services.
Trent is the Sr. Strategist for Gem City Creative (GCC). He helps take mission-driven brands to the next level alongside the fantastic GCC team! When not doing that, Trent can be found shopping for hair care products and beard oils, or playing one of his many, many harmonicas.
